CLEVELAND — For Cleveland Browns linebacker Tae Davis, this pandemic hit home.
“I just remember tears just started flowing because I didn’t know what to expect," he said.
Back in Lanett, Alabama, his two aunts and uncle all tested positive for COVID-19.
“I was somewhat in a dark place because I spent so much time with them growing up. I love them."
But it was Faith, his girlfriend, who inspired and helped guide him through those dark moments.
But during those dark times, it shed light to a promise that he made to himself.
“I always told myself that if I were in a position to help I would."
So he did, with the help of Meals on Wheels -- 500 to be exact -- Davis donated to seniors who are unable to leave their homes in fear of contracting the COVID-19 virus.
“Just affecting one life can piggyback and make a difference in the world.”
His family is now home and doing well.
