Preview:
Coming off a disappointing loss to the Falcons, the Browns are looking to bounce back against what will likely be their toughest test to this point in the 2022 season. While the Chargers lay claim to a 2-2 record, Los Angeles boasts the NFL's top-ranked passing attack, headlined by third-year quarterback Justin Herbert, who has emerged as one of the league's best young signal-callers.
Taming Herbert, wide receiver Mike Williams and running back Austin Ekeler will present a sizable challenge for a Cleveland defense that has proven prone to breakdowns to this point in the season. The Browns are hopeful that they will get one or both of Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney back in the lineup, after both defensive ends missed last week's loss to Atlanta with injuries.
While the Chargers will be without their own star pass rusher in Joey Bosa, Los Angeles' defense still possesses plenty of talent, most notably edge defender Khalil Mack and safety Derwin James Jr. If Cleveland is going to get back on track, it's going to have to be with what would be the Browns' most impressive win of the 2022 campaign thus far.
