Garrett took the award for the second time in his career (2021) over the Cleveland Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell and Guardians' Josh Naylor. Though the Browns season didn't end the way anyone had hoped or anticipated, Garrett's individual accomplishments this past season are undeniable.

Myles totaled:

Garrett's impressive career accomplishments continue:

  • Seventh player in NFL history with 10 or more sacks in six consecutive seasons (only active player currently)
  • Passed Reggie White for most sacks by a player prior to turning 28 years old (87)

Garrett takes the title of Cleveland's top professional athlete from José Ramírez, who won the award at last year's ceremony.
