The Cleveland Browns finally have a little momentum heading into Week 3 after getting into the win column in Jacksonville and avoiding the dreaded 0-2 start.
On the other hand, the Daniel Jones-led New York Giants come into The Land looking for their first win of the season.
While Browns QB Deshaun Watson bounced back from his rough start in Week 1 with some solid play against the Jaguars, he still has much to prove in Cleveland. Sunday's game will be another chance for Cleveland's offense to find its groove and gain momentum for the season.
One key player on the offense to watch for is WR Amari Cooper. The veteran is due for a big game after getting off to a slow start, with just five receptions for 27 yards in the first two games while dropping several passes in key situations.
In their first two outings, the Giants have had difficulty stopping the run, allowing a combined 326 rushing yards in games against the Washington Commanders and Minnesota Vikings.
This sets up nicely for the Browns, as they will look to their run game to help take some of the pressure off of Watson. With the absence of RB Nick Chubb, Jerome Ford stepped up in Week 2, rushing for a team-high 64 yards. Given the Giants' struggles, we can expect Ford and the run game to look to exploit New York's weakness.
Cleveland will again have to overcome an injury-hampered offensive line; right tackle Jack Conklin is out for the third consecutive game with a hamstring injury, per The Associated Press. However, Jedrick Wills Jr. will start at left tackle following a 10-month recovery from a torn MCL.
In Week 2, the Giants' offense showed some life against the Commanders. Rookie Malik Nabers caught 10 passes for 127 yards and one touchdown. However, Nabers and the Giants will be tested on Sunday against a more robust and challenging Browns defense that allows a mere 179.5 passing yards per game.
