CLEVELAND — After making its debut on a limited-time basis last year, Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb's cereal is back.
On Tuesday, PLB Sports and Entertainment announced that the second edition of "Chubb Crunch" is now available for purchase at area Heinen’s Grocery Stores, as well as PLBSE.com.
“We are thrilled to be able to partner with Nick, PLBSE, and First Candle for the new edition of Chubb Crunch,” Heinen’s Packaged Goods Director, Kim Heinen, said in a statement. “Nick has become an important part of the Cleveland sports community as well as a role model on and off the field. We feel that Nick’s values align closely with our values at Heinen’s and therefore we are honored to collaborate with him on Chubb Crunch once again."
As was the case with last year's release, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch-like cereal will benefit First Candle, an organization committed to eliminating Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and other sleep-related infant deaths through education, while providing support for grieving families who have suffered a loss. The three-time Pro Bowl running back has previously revealed that his sister's firstborn son was lost to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
“I’m excited to release the second edition of Chubb Crunch,” Chubb said in a statement. “We raised a lot for First Candle last year and the fans loved it, so I’m pumped to bring it back!”
Now in his fifth season in Cleveland, Chubb currently leads the NFL with 593 rushing yards and seven touchdowns through the Browns' first five games of the 2022 season.
