CLEVELAND — The Arizona Cardinals have reportedly hired the Cleveland Browns' quarterbacks coach Drew Petzing as their new offensive coordinator.
NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero broke the news about the 35-year-old via Twitter on Sunday morning.
The move comes after the Cardinals recently named Northeast Ohio native Jonathan Gannon their head coach.
Gannon and Petzing previously worked together in Minnesota prior to Petzing's most recent stint with the Browns.
In 2013, Petzing first came to the Browns serving as a football operations intern and assisting the offensive coaching staff.
After a season, Petzing left for the Minnesota Vikings where he spent 2014-2018 serving as an assistant wide receivers/quarterbacks coach. In 2019, Petzing was promoted to the Vikings' wide receivers coach.
Eventually, Petzing returned to Cleveland to serve as the team's right ends coach for the 2020 and 2021 seasons before being named the QBs coach in 2022.
