CLEVELAND -- The 2019 NFL season hasn't yet started, nor has the schedule even been release.
But the Cleveland Browns have already earned their first hardware of the new year, which they hope will be the first of many to come.
Earlier this month, the Browns won an online tournament to determine the best fan base in the NFL. Run by the NFL on FOX, the competition pitted all 32 fan bases against one another in a March Madness style tournament, Cleveland ultimately beating the Tennessee Titans in the finals.
On Tuesday, the Browns accepted the trophy from the tournament on behalf of their fan base. Taking to social media, the Browns shared a photo of new head coach Freddie Kitchens holding the hardware inside the team's headquarters in Berea.
Of course, the Browns' latest trophy pales in comparison to the ones they hope to add to their collection in the coming year. Coming off a 7-8-1 season in 2018 and following the offseason acquisition of star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Cleveland is favored to win the AFC North and possesses 14-1 odds of winning the Super Bowl, good for the fifth-best in the league.
In addition to potentially making runs at the Lamar Hunt and Vince Lombardi Trophies this season, the Browns will have the chance to reclaim 'The Barge' this August when they face the Detroit Lions in preseason action.
That opportunity, however, clearly hasn't been lost on the Browns, who took Twitter on Tuesday to remind social media of its hardware history.
