CLEVELAND β On Sunday night, the Miami Heat defeated the Denver Nuggets 111-108 to even the 2023 NBA Finals at 1-1.
And with millions tuning in, many football fans noticed that new Cleveland Browns safety Juan Thornhill looks a lot like Nuggets guard Bruce Brown.
So much so that Thornhill took to Twitter to deny that the 26-year-old swingman is his doppelganger.
"Yβall gotta stop saying I look like dude from the Nuggets!!" Thornhill tweeted, along with a crying laughing emoji.
Thornhill's new team, however, only added fuel to the fire when the Browns' official Twitter account posted side-by-side pictures of the safety and Brown, displaying the duo's uncanny resemblance.
"Okay you just made it worse," Thornhill replied.
As it turns out, the similarities between Thornhill and Brown might not be limited to just their appearance, as the new Cleveland safety also happened to be a heckuva hooper. Last month, the Twitter account The Sports E-cyclopedia noted that Thornhill was a standout basketball player during his high school career at Altavista High School, tallying more than 1,000 career points, winning three state championships and even appearing on ESPN's SportsCenter with a highlight reel caliber alley-oop slam dunk.
On Sunday night, the Browns' official Twitter account retweeted the post, along with the caption "has anyone ever seen them in the same room??"
Thornhill, who signed a three-year, $21 million contract with Cleveland earlier this offseason after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs finally relented: "Okay you caught me. I play for the nuggets on my free time. But keep that between us."
