CLEVELAND โ NFL veteran Justin Hardee Sr. is returning to his hometown of Cleveland.
The Browns announced on Tuesday that they have signed Hardee, a former New York Jets cornerback/special teamer and a 2012 graduate of Glenville High School.
Last season, the 30-year-old appeared in 11 games for the Jets, registering five special teams tackles.
The Illinois product is entering his eighth season in the NFL after joining the league in 2017 as an undrafted free agent with the Houston Texans.
During the course of his career, Hardee has appeared in 100 career games while playing for the New Orleans Saints between 2017-2020 and the New York Jets between 2021-2023.
In 2022, Hardee earned a spot in the Pro Bowl after notching 14 tackles and one forced fumble.
Following last year's game between the Browns and Jets, Hardee shared a moment with then-Browns QB Joe Flacco after the team clinched a spot in the NFL Playoffs. During the exchange, Hardee asked Flacco to "bring my city a 'ship."
