Cleveland Browns have 10th best odds to win Super Bowl 56

At 22-1, the Cleveland Browns have the 10th-best odds of winning Super Bowl 56, according to FanDuel.

CLEVELAND — Super Bowl 55 isn't until Sunday, but that hasn't stopped some NFL teams from already looking ahead to next year's big game. That group includes the Cleveland Browns, who saw their championship quest come to an end with a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional round last month.

But with their front office, coaching staff and the bulk of their roster set to return in 2021, it would hardly be a surprise to see the Browns back in the hunt as soon as next season. The first round of Super Bowl 56 betting odds suggest as much, with Cleveland, at 22-1, being given the 10th best odds of winning next season's NFL championship, according to FanDuel.

FanDuel's full list of Super Bowl 56 odds are as follows:

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (+490)
  2. Buffalo Bills (+1100)
  3. Green Bay Packers (+1100)
  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1100)
  5. Los Angeles Rams (+1200)
  6. San Francisco 49ers (+1300)
  7. Baltimore Ravens (+1400)
  8. New Orleans Saints (+1900)
  9. Seattle Seahawks (+2000)
  10. Cleveland Browns (+2200)
  11. Tennessee Titans (+2700)
  12. Miami Dolphins (+2800)
  13. Indianapolis Colts (+2900)
  14. Los Angeles Chargers (+3100)
  15. Pittsburgh Steelers (+3100)
  16. Dallas Cowboys (+3300)
  17. New England Patriots (+3700)
  18. Arizona Cardinals (+4100)
  19. Minnesota Vikings (+4400)
  20. Atlanta Falcons (+5000)
  21. Carolina Panthers (+5000)
  22. Las Vegas Raiders (+5000)
  23. Philadelphia Eagles (+5000)
  24. Chicago Bears (+6000)
  25. New York Jets (+6500)
  26. Houston Texans (+7000)
  27. New York Giants (+7000)
  28. Cincinnati Bengals (+8000)
  29. Denver Broncos (+8000)
  30. Jacksonville Jaguars (+8000)
  31. Washington Football Team (+8000)
  32. Detroit Lions (+12000)

While the 10th-best Super Bowl odds might seem low for a team that made the playoffs in 2020 and is looking to make a jump in 2022, the Browns' Super Bowl odds are the fourth-best in the AFC, trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens. It's also worth noting that there's a dropoff between Cleveland and the next team on the list's odds, with the Tenessee Titans coming in at +2700.

For comparison's take, at this time last year, the Browns' odds of winning Super Bowl 55 were 33-1, which were tied with four other teams for the 15th highest in the NFL. And while Cleveland didn't ultimately cash out on its long-shot odds, the success the Browns did find under first-year head coach Kevin Stefanski apparently didn't go unnoticed.
