CLEVELAND — The Browns' stellar running back room is about to get a little more crowded.
With what is likely to be its final pick in an NFL draft held in its own hometown, Cleveland selected UCLA's Demetric Felton with the 211th overall pick in the sixth round. The 22-year-old was the third offensive player taken out of the team's eight selections.

Felton was a backup for his first three seasons in Los Angeles before being named the Bruins' starter prior to his senior year. In just six games of a COVID-shortened 2020 season, the 5-foot-10, 200-pound back rushed for 668 yards and five touchdowns to earn second-team All-Pac-12 honors. His best performance came against Arizona, when he tallied 206 yards and a score on 32 carries.
Led by stars Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, the Browns' stable of running backs rivals any in the NFL. Third-stringer D'Ernest Johnson also got some meaningful touches last year, so it might be hard for Felton to crack into the lineup.
Cleveland had been scheduled to pick late in the seventh round as well, but traded that selection around with a fourth-rounder away to the Detroit Lions in exchange for an extra fifth-round selection and a 2022 fourth-rounder.
