CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns kick off the preseason tonight in the Hall of Fame Game against the New York Jets in Canton. It marks the first time the Browns have played in the Hall of Fame Game since 1999.
With the game airing on NBC, the Sunday Night Football crew has been in Northeast Ohio preparing for the upcoming broadcast. The game kicks off at 8 p.m. on WKYC TV-3 with coverage starting one hour earlier with Football Night In America at 7 p.m.
Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth will be on the call Thursday night in Canton and both broadcasters were in Berea recently to check out the Browns in training camp. 3News Sports Anchor Nick Camino had an opportunity to go one-on-one with Collinsworth about the Hall of Fame Game, Joe Thomas being enshrined into the Hall and the upcoming Browns season (watch the full interview in the player at the top of this story).
Collinsworth joked with Camino that Thomas was such an elite left tackle in the NFL that he nearly broke the PFF system.
Collinsworth also gave his thoughts on Deshaun Watson, the Browns defense and the AFC North Division.
Collinsworth is also the owner and chairman of Pro Football Focus, which is a sports analytics company that focuses on thorough analysis of the National Football League and NCAA Division-I football in the United States.
