Odell Beckham Jr. is a member of the Cleveland Browns.
And he's apparently excited by the news.
Hours after Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network first reported that the Browns had acquired Beckham in a trade with the New York Giants, the 3-time Pro Bowl selection took to Instagram to share a cartoon portrait of himself in his new uniform. The same post had been shared on the Instagram story of Beckham's college teammate, Jarvis Landry, who he'll rejoin in coming to Cleveland.
"Dawgs gotta eat," the caption on Beckham's post read.
On Tuesday, the 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year told Kim Jones of the NFL Network that the trade was "bittersweet."
“At this point, I have no idea what to think. I’m trying to process it right now," Beckham said. "But it is what it is. It’s life."
In trading for Beckham, the Browns acquire one of the most dynamic receivers in football. Over the course of his first five seasons in the league, the 26-year-old Beckham has tallied 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns, including 77 catches for 1,052 yards and 6 scores in 12 games in 2018.
Beckham's arrival in Cleveland bolsters what was already becoming one of the NFL's most dynamic offenses. In addition to Beckham and Landry, the Browns have surrounded quarterback Baker Mayfield with a bevy of playmakers, including wide receiver Antonio Callaway, tight end David Njoku and running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt.
The Browns' acquisition of Beckham cannot be made official until 4 p.m. on Wednesday when the NFL's new league year begins.
