CLEVELAND — After 14 years in the NFL, former Cleveland Browns QB Colt McCoy has decided to call it a career.

McCoy will step away from the game to cover the Big Ten for NBC Sports, according to reports.

Originally drafted 85th overall (3rd round) in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Browns, McCoy spent his first three years in Cleveland before bouncing around the league as a backup for the rest of his career. McCoy spent time with San Francisco, Washington, New York (Giants) and Arizona.

McCoy would go on to start 21 games for Cleveland over the 2010-11 seasons to a lackluster 6-15 record before being replaced as the Browns starting QB by then rookie Brandon Weeden in the 2012 season.

He finishes his NFL career owning an 11-35 record, 7,975 passing yards, 34 touchdown passes and 32 interceptions.

McCoy's shining moment as a member of the Browns came on Nov. 7, 2010 when Cleveland shocked the sports world by blowing out the powerhouse New England Patriots 34-14.

Though McCoy's career in Cleveland ended as yet another name stapled on the back of the infamous Browns QB jersey list, he carved out a successful career as one of the league's most stable backup for over a decade.
