Only Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry won't have to wait until Sept. 12 for his first chance at revenge against one of the star players who helped eliminate Cleveland from last season's playoffs.
On Wednesday, Clear Vision Marketing Group and the Lake County Captains announced that Landry and Chiefs star tight end -- and Cleveland Heights native -- Travis Kelce will square off on opposing teams in the 2021 Jarvis Landry & Friends Celebrity Softball Game, presented by Lake Health, at Classic Park in Eastlake on Saturday, June 12. According to a release, the pair of Pro Bowl pass-catchers will "select their teams from a list of current star athletes, all-time great former athletes and celebrities, with the initial list of participants in the exhibition to be announced at a virtual press conference on Friday, May 21.
In addition to the game, this year's event will feature a fundraising initiative for the Jarvis Landry Building Winners Foundation and a home run derby and awards ceremony. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lake Health Foundation, which serves the health and medical needs of the residents of Lake County and the surrounding areas.
Tickets for the event will go on sale for $17 on Wednesday, May 19, with select box seats available for $22. Tickets for all sections can be purchased via CaptainsBaseball.com or JarvisLandrySoftball.com.
