In the 11 seasons that comprised his NFL career, Joe Thomas didn't play in a single postseason.
But two years after retiring, the Cleveland Browns great might finally be able to call himself a champion.
Airing on NBC at 8 p.m. ET on Monday night, Thomas will participate in the Central Region Finals of The Titan Games. Through the first two episodes of the second season, the 10-time Pro Bowl selection has been the star of the show, successfully defending Mt. Olympus a total of three times as one of the celebrity Titans hand-picked by the show's host, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Thomas' reign began on the season premiere, in which he narrowly beat out a Denver firefighter named Matt Chan before topping Steven Shelby, a deputy sheriff from Delaware, Ohio.
On last week's episode, Thomas continued his reign with a win over sports medicine physician Kaleb Redden, who will get a chance at redemption in a rematch during Monday night's Central Region Finals.
Should Thomas' undefeated streak continue, he'll advance to the show's ultimate finals, where he'll compete against the show's other Titans who won their respective regions. The male and female winners of The Titan Games will win $100,000 each, with that money being donated to charity should the winner be a celebrity titan, such as Thomas.
