CLEVELAND — Last season, Baker Mayfield made waves when he told reporters he "woke up feeling pretty dangerous" prior to the Cleveland Browns' 28-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
And as the Browns' 2019 season approaches, it appears he's not alone.
With Cleveland's Sept. 8 season opener vs. the Tennessee Titans just weeks away, fans are now getting a better idea of what they can expect from the Browns in 2019. And while the on-field experience is expected to be a "dangerous" one, the same could be said of the stadium's concession stands where Michael Symon's BSport Burgers will be selling a new "Dangerous Burger," as first reported by Darren Rovell of The Action Network.
According to Rovell, the burger will feature "Baker's BBQ sauce," spicy coleslaw, pepper jack cheese & habanero sauce. Symon, himself, even took to Twitter to state that he expects a couple thousand burgers to be consumed each game after a Twitter user asked Rovell how popular such artisan-style sandwiches actually are.
The "Dangerous Burger" isn't the first item of food to be named in Mayfield's honor. Earlier this year, Hyde Park introduced "The Baker Mayfield" steak -- an 8 or 12 oz. filet mignon topped with cracked peppercorn and cognac bordelaise.
In a profile released by GQ on Tuesday, Mayfield admitted he thought such honor -- which came midway through his rookie season last year -- was premature.
"We had barely won any games,” Mayfield told Clay Skipper. “I didn't think I deserved it yet.”
Nevertheless, "The Baker Mayfield" came to fruition and soon, the "Dangerous Burger" will too. B-Spot is located inside the 7Up City Club in the 300 level on the south side of FirstEnergy Stadium.
