Check out some of the cool new things coming to Cleveland Browns Stadium in 2023

From an expanded Pro Shop to luxury seats and the return of RTA train services, fans can look forward to a lot when they head to Alfred Lerner Way.

CLEVELAND — Football is back on the shores of Lake Erie, and soon Cleveland Browns Stadium will be filled with tens of thousands of fans hoping to see the Brown and Orange break a decades-long championship drought.

Besides a new name (which is really an old name, if you want to get technical), the stadium will also boast several new features in 2023. Chief among them will be the padded luxury field seats, located along both sidelines and both end zones (including in front of the Dawg Pound).

Speaking of that, this season also marks the debut of "Dawg Tags," which will be placed on every seat and suite in the stadium. Fans can scan these QR codes to unlock special games, contests, photo filters, and more.

When it comes to Browns gear, fans will feel right at home at the newly redesigned Pro Shop. The in-stadium store will sport "a wider selection of Browns merchandise and a seamless customer service experience" thanks to the team's expanded deal with Fanatics.

Right next to the Pro Shop in section 121, there will also be a special mural featuring former Browns left tackle Joe Thomas, who this summer was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Fans can take their picture with the artwork, which features Thomas' immortal consecutive snap count of 10,363.

Finally, Rapid service directly to the stadium is back, with the RTA's Waterfront Line running trains again during all Browns home games. The route has been closed for the better part of three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and later ongoing track maintenance.

Other new stadium features include:

  • A dedicated express line at the gate using Verizon facial recognition technology. Fans can sign up using the Browns app.
  • A new "Dawg Rewards" program for season ticket holders featuring offers and discounts for food and merchandise.
  • The ability for all concession stands to accept Apple Pay and tap and go.
  • Two VIP Chalet trailers available for purchase during pregame tailgates.
  • A new Premium Terrance Experience in section 105 presented by Vivid Seats.
