CLEVELAND — Editor's note: the video in the player above is from a previous story.
Through the first three weeks of the 2021 NFL season, at least one thing about the Cleveland Browns' offense is clear: between Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, the Browns lay claim to the best running back duo in the entire NFL.
But if ever there was any question about any jealousy that might exist in Cleveland's running backs room, those concerns appear to have been put to rest. With Hunt wired for sound during the Browns' 26-6 Week 3 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, a new video from NFL Films helps highlight the friendship between Cleveland's dynamic running back duo.
In the 46-second-long clip posted to Twitter, Hunt can be heard discussing his plans for the Bears defense with Chubb.
"I'm [gonna] pound them boys. I'm [gonna] pound 'em, pound 'em, pound 'em, then probably come out and let your a-- go in there and you're going to break that, " Hunt says.
In another clip, the more vocal Hunt can be heard explaining his personality to the notoriously quiet Chubb.
"I've always been told closed mouths don't get fed," Hunt says, to which a smiling Chubb replies: "Yeah, I can tell."
In one of the more heartwarming clips, Chubb can be heard discussing his frustrations with his slow start to the game.
"They're on my a--," Chubb says. "It's on you today."
Hunt proceeded to encourage his teammate, telling him that they were both in for big games.
"Nah, bro. That fourth-quarter coming," said Hunt. "You know how you get busy in that fourth. That fourth still coming."
Hunt's words would prove prophetic. While it was Hunt who led the Browns with 155 total yards (81 rushing, 74 receiving) and one touchdown, 42 of Chubb's 84 rushing yards on the day came in the fourth quarter as Cleveland sealed its Week 3 win.
