CANTON, Ohio — As the 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week comes to a close, the newly enshrined gathered one last time to close out the week by sharing stories and memories in Canton.
The Enshrinees' Roundtable is a one-of-a-kind event that features the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023 unscripted and up close.
This year, the NFL Network’s Steve Wyche moderated the event that took place at the Canton Civic Center.
At the event, Wyche led the class in conversations about their favorite memories and moments during their time spent in the NFL.
During the event, Joe Thomas recalled that one of his favorite parts of the week has been spending time with his family as well as the families of the other enshrinees.
Thomas recounted that his children didn’t want to leave the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on Thursday after they were having so much fun with fellow enshrinee Zach Thomas’ children.
"To see our family linking and making those connections that we have all made since the Super Bowl has been the best part of our week," said Joe Thomas.
When asked about being a first-ballot enshrine, Thomas said "You feel proud that it is an extra notch in your belt. But after being in the room with these guys, there is no difference between hall of farmers.”
One of the other highlights for Joe Thomas came on Saturday when Zach Thomas gave a pep talk right before the enshrinees took the stage to give their speeches
"I couldn't believe it was happening to have my childhood idol give me a pre-game speech," said Joe Thomas during the discussion.
