Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has stated emphatically and on multiple occasions that Hue Jackson will return for the 2018 season.
Given Haslam's history, however, many remain doubtful he'll bring back a coach who currently lays claim to a 1-29 record in Cleveland.
Among those doubting Haslam's commitment to Jackson appears to be Jeff Fisher. According to 98.7 FM's Mike Jurecki, the former NFL head coach is eyeing a return to the league and targeting a potential Browns' vacancy -- as well as the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears -- as one of his possible destinations.
Jeff Fisher wants to get back into the NFL next year, could be eyeing three jobs if they open: Cleveland, Indy and Chicago. Fisher buyout from the Rams was $16M.

In 22 years as a head coach, Fisher has amassed a 173-165-1 record, taking the Tennessee Titans to the playoffs six times in 17 seasons from 1994-2010, including an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIV. In five seasons with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams, he posted a 31-45-1 record before being fired midway through the 2016 campaign, never having finished higher than third in the NFC West.
In Fisher's final three seasons with the Rams, he employed current Browns defensive coordinator Gregg Williams in the same position.
As for Jackson, speculation has continued that he'll spend his 2018 season elsewhere, with recent rumors linking him to his former employer, the Cincinnati Bengals. Jackson, for his part, has denied any interest in a return to Cincinnati, stating that it's his preference to remain in Cleveland.
"I'm not running from this," Jackson said. "I've never gone any place and left it worse than when I found it. I'm going to be here, and I need to get this fixed as fast as I can because it's important."
