On Thursday night, the Cleveland Browns defeated the New York Jets 21-16 in their first preseason contest. Throughout the day, 3News had full coverage of the Hall of Fame festivities.

HALFTIME: Jets lead Browns 16-7

  • 0:00: Greg Zuerlein kicks 53-yard field goal: 16-7 New York Jets 
  • 0:31: Kellen Mond to John Kelly for a 3-yard touchdown: 13-7 New York Jets 
  • 9:04: 10-yard rushing touchdown by Israel Abanikanda: 13-0 New York Jets 
  • 10:28: Kellen Mond throws an interception to Chazz Surratt

QUARTER 1

Take a look at some of the pre-game sights and sounds as Browns fans took over Canton for the 2023 enshrinement weekend: 

Tonight's game marks the Browns' sixth time playing in the Hall of Fame Game and their first time playing in it since 1999. 

On Saturday, Browns legend Joe Thomas will be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame alongside Zach Thomas, DeMarcus Ware, Darrelle Revis, Rondé Barber, Don Coryell (deceased), Chuck Howley, Joe Klecko and Ken Riley (deceased).
