Cleveland Browns beat down by 3rd string quarterback: Social media reacts

Cleveland fans have gone through a rollercoaster of emotions in the span of 16 hours coming off of the Guardians stunning victory and the Browns frustrating loss.

If you stayed up late last night to celebrate the Cleveland Guardians thrilling come from behind, walk-off win at Progressive Field, you would have seen Cleveland sports fans jubilantly celebrating throughout the streets of downtown Cleveland.

Unfortunately, the Cleveland Browns provided their fans with the exact opposite set of emotions while getting pummeled by Bill Belichick and a 3rd string quarterback.

The only silver lining, and I mean only, was Myles Garrett breaking the official Browns career sack record in the first quarter of Sunday's game.

Understandably so, Browns fans took to social media to vent after they saw the team once again look lost on defense allowing 3rd string QB Bailey Zappe to complete 24/34 passes for 309 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Keeping things in perspective

Thankfully, it is a quick turnaround to the Guardians as game 4 of the ALDS takes place at Progressive Field tonight. Should the Guardians win, they will compete in the ALCS for the first time since 2016.

Who would have thought in April that the prospects of a deep Guardians MLB playoffs run would provide a distraction from the Browns season for Cleveland fans?
