BEREA, Ohio — This will bring a huge smile to your face!
At the close of the Cleveland Browns' minicamp practice on Wednesday, head coach Kevin Stefanski brought in a special guest to "break down the team" in a huddle. It was none other than the "Voice of the Browns" and WKYC legend Jim Donovan.
Jimmy, who retired from WKYC earlier this week after a sterling 39-year career, has been the radio play-by-play announcer for the Browns since the team returned to the NFL in 1999.
"The best in the business," Stefanski told Browns players as he motioned for Jimmy to come to the huddle.
"I love you guys," Jimmy told the Browns. "Let's have a big, big year. All the way on three."
Among the Browns personnel who greeted Jimmy after the huddle broke were All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett, general manager Andrew Berry, and co-owner Dee Haslam.
