CLEVELAND — Just eight months removed from surgery to repair a torn ACL, Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb wowed social media on Monday when a video dropped showing him squatting 540 pounds at alma mater Cedartown High School.
The video was posted by JOC Films, a production company founded by two filmmakers and Chubb himself, on their Instagram page showing Chubb squatting the weight twice with relative ease. The video was posted as part of a series documenting Chubb's rehab process.
The impressive feat can be seen in the post below:
Chubb has yet to participate in any of the team's organized activities since undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL, MCL, media capsule and meniscus after sustaining the injuries in week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Browns officials have yet to commit to a return timeline for Chubb.
Last month, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski spoke to the media about Chubb's rehab outlook, "He's working like crazy," Stefanski said. "I know everybody wants to know, when's he going to do this? When's he going to do that? I know this. He's working like crazy and I get to witness it in our building. I get to see him in our meetings. He's a huge, huge part of our program. He's a huge part of what we do."
If this video is any indication, there may be good reason to believe we'll see him return to the field to continue his storied Browns career sooner than anyone thought possible.
