CLEVELAND — One of the best parts about the Cleveland Browns getting a win is that the team often will share a clip on its social media of Jim Donovan and Doug Dieken calling a highlight from the radio booth.
The Browns topped the Bengals at FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday by the final of 27-19. One of the biggest moments in the win was Denzel Ward's first career interception return for a touchdown. It was also a chance for Jim Donovan to have another signature call: "IT'S A PICK SIX FOR DENZEL WARD!"
So let's check out how Jimmy and Diek looked in the booth as they called the pick six:
I have to say that my favorite part might be the reaction of the two guys behind Jimmy to the touchdown. Browns radio network producer Jason Gibbs and engineer Dave Spano are doing some kind of happy dance as Ward got into the end zone. The judges may deduct some points for form, fellas.
Jimmy is right on top of the call thanks to some help from his spotter, Jeff "Yak" Yakawiak, and statistician Dan Tracy.
And Doug Dieken? He gets in a dynamite drop-in and then has a sip of Sprite.
