What are the Cleveland Browns' odds of landing Antonio Brown?

According to BetOnline, the Cleveland Browns have the fifth-best odds of landing disgruntled Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Over the course of his nine-year career, Antonio Brown has made a habit of torturing the Cleveland Browns.

But now that the Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to acquiesce to the disgruntled wide receiver's trade demand should the right offer come along, what are the odds he could go from playing against the Browns to playing for them?

Perhaps not as high as you might think.

On Tuesday, BetOnline.ag released its odds for which team Brown will play for during Week 1 of the 2019 season. And while the Oakland Raiders at 7/2 are the current favorite, Cleveland isn't far behind with the fifth-best odds (12/1) of landing the 7-time Pro Bowl selection.

BetOnline.ag's full odds for Brown's landing spot are as follows:

  • Oakland Raiders 7/2
  • Tennessee Titans 11/2
  • Arizona Cardinals 15/2
  • Green Bay Packers 10/1
  • Cleveland Browns 12/1
  • Indianapolis Colts 12/1
  • Pittsburgh Steelers 12/1
  • San Francisco 49ers 12/1
  • Dallas Cowboys 14/1
  • New York Jets 14/1
  • Washington Redskins 14/1
  • Denver Broncos 16/1
  • Miami Dolphins 16/1
  • Buffalo Bills 20/1
  • New Orleans Saints 25/1
  • Philadelphia Eagles 25/1
  • Baltimore Ravens 33/1

So what does this all mean?

In all likelihood, not much.

Aside from online sportsbooks often releasing such odds in an effort to bring awareness to their sites, the Browns possess the exact same odds to employ Brown next season as three other teams -- including the Steelers. Although the Raiders are considered the clear-cut front-runner according to the list, even their odds at 'plus money' indicate some skepticism that the 4-time All-Pro will wind up in black and silver.

Aside from it being relatively notable Cleveland isn't currently considered a longer shot to land a star player within its own division, there's not much to be made of these odds.

But hey, it's the offseason, so why not have fun with them before the real business begins at the start of the new league year next week?
