CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — As we are just one week out from Super Bowl Sunday, Cleveland Heights is preparing for an upcoming week filled with festivities to honor their own --Travis and Jason Kelce.

The Cleveland Heights natives Jason, a center for the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, will make history on Sunday, becoming the first brothers to play against each other in the big game.

To properly honor the Cleveland Heights alumni, Tiger Nation will be hosting events and activities all week leading up to the Kelce Bowl.

Throughout the week, Cleveland Heights High School is coordinating many events, including the following:

  • Pep rally on Thursday
  • Staff and students wear the color of the team you support Red or Green on Thursday
  • Lighting pillars and clock tower (one day Chiefs, one day Eagles)

On Jan. 31, Cleveland Heights announced that they will "Light up the Heights" to support the Kelce brothers ahead of the Super Bowl matchup.

"Show your KELCE & HEIGHTS pride by lighting up your front porch GOLD on Sunday February 12th, 2023 as Jason of the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis of the Kansas City Chiefs make their way to Super Bowl 57," a Facebook posting for the event reads. "The Cleveland Heights/University Heights alums have donated over the years to the Heights Schools Foundation, giving back from purchasing equipment to after school activities.
