John Carroll University alumni, former coach to represent Northeast Ohio at Super Bowl LVII

This year marks the seventh consecutive year that John Carroll University has had a connection to the Super Bowl.

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio — Over the years, John Carroll University has made a name for itself as being a pipeline to the NFL.

With over 40 Blue Streaks working in the NFL during the 2022 season, it was almost guaranteed that someone was bound to make it to the big game.

Four Blue Streaks will be representing Northeast Ohio on Sunday when the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs face off in Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona.

Take a look at which Blue Streaks will be represented at the Super Bowl:

Philadelphia Eagles

David Caldwell, Jarrod Kilburn and Joe Kasper will all be at the Super Bowl for the Eagles.

Caldwell, a 1996 graduate, is the current Eagles' Senior Personnel Director/Advisor to the general manager. Kilburn, a 2014 graduate and former JCU QB, serves as a college/pro scout for the Eagles organization.

Additionally, former JCU wide receivers coach and Mentor native Joe Kasper will be on the sidelines as the wide receivers coach for the team.

Kansas City Chiefs

On the opposing side, Jalen Myrick will be the lone Blue Streak representing the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl. The 2019 JCU grad is making his third Super Bowl appearance in four seasons with the NFL. Myrick serves as a College & Pro Scout for the organization.

This year marks the seventh consecutive year that John Carroll has had a connection to the Super Bowl.

Going into the game, one thing is guaranteed. No matter the outcome of the Super Bowl, a Blue Streak will come home with a Super Bowl ring for the fifth straight year.

The Super Bowl is filled with many other Northeast Ohio connections, including brothers Travis and Jason Kelce from Cleveland Heights, who are making history as the first brothers to play against each other in the Super Bowl.
