Kelce brothers bring Cleveland Heights national spotlight in lead up to Super Bowl

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce came out victorious against his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce in Super Bowl 57.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Tavern Company on Lee Road is the place where everyone knows your name, especially if that last name is Kelce.

Chris Armington owns the bar. He says the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, have been coming here for years. The two graduated from Cleveland Heights High School.

"They're just fun to hang out with they love Cleveland Heights. Usually when they come in town they come in and they are super nice humble people."

Two humble guys playing in the biggest game of the year. Jason plays for the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis for the Kansas City Chiefs.

And while they both have fans for their respective teams, in this place, they are both winners.

Various patrons of the bar spoke to 3News just before kickoff in Super Bowl 57. They spoke about how much love Cleveland Heights has for the Kelce brothers.

"Definitely around here it don't know about the whole city but definitely here that's for sure," one said.

"I love it it's good for the city they represent the city good," another told 3News.

"It's a lot of fun it's a lot of fun to watch," was the sentiment all throughout the city as they prepared to watch the two brothers who never forgot where they came from.

Watching two home town boys putting Cleveland Heights in the national spotlight.  Armington says the bar is usually closed on Sunday's, but they weren't going to miss this history making moment. Travis and Jason became the first brothers to play in the same Super Bowl in league history.

"Cleveland Heights is so proud. It's exciting, I have goosebumps. It's really exciting."
