CLEVELAND -- “The Road to WrestleMania 35” reportedly runs through Cleveland.
According to multiple reports, World Wrestling Entertainment’s pre-WrestleMania pay-per-view, WWE Fastlane, will originate from Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland on Sunday, March 10.
It will be the second time WWE Fastlane has been held in Cleveland, as Quicken Loans Arena hosted the event on February 21, 2016, where Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar fought in a triple-threat match with the winner receiving a championship bout at WrestleMania 32.
The 2018 WWE Fastlane event took place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
The Fastlane special event will be WWE’s first trip to Quicken Loans Arena since March of 2018.
With construction at Quicken Loans Arena getting underway in the summer, the sports-entertainment company hosted a “WWE LIVE” show at the Wolstein Center on the campus of Cleveland State University on Saturday, September 1, 2018.
Prior to the September appearance, WWE’s last trip to Cleveland was for a “Monday Night RAW” event two weeks before WrestleMania 34 back in late March. The Monday Night RAW event was held at Quicken Loans Arena.
