CLEVELAND — Prince Philip's passing brings up a lot of questions about the monarchy, from how Princes Harry and William will mend their relationship to whether Queen Elizabeth II will ever step down and pass the crown to Prince Charles before taking her last breath.
People Magazine's digital editor Morgan Evans joins me to talk through it all on this week's 3 Things to Know with Stephanie Haney podcast.
Evans, who was recently featured in the People documentary, 'Harry and Meghan: The American Dream,' is a long-time Royals watcher who covers the British monarchy and all things celebrity news for People.com. She expertly explains why it's not a big deal that Harry and William don't walk side-by-side in their grandfather's funeral procession, or that they won't be wearing military uniforms.
Plus, I share why Squire's Castle is the landmark you Need to Know in NEO, and why Entertainment Tonight's royal correspondent Katie Nicholl is such A Good Follow on Twitter.

During the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral, all eyes will certainly be on Princes Harry and William, who each shared close but unique relationships with their grandfather. (See never-before-released images of Prince Philip with his grandchildren here and here.)
People will also be watching Queen Elizabeth, who turns 95 this month, and who ended her official mourning period on April 13, getting back to work with an in-person event just four days after her husband's passing on April 9.
Evans shares her perspective on how the Queen gets a raw deal when it comes to major milestones and the conversation surrounding her place on the throne.
"I think if the Queen were to step down and give the crown over to Prince Charles then that would be like the death of her," Evans says.
"I don’t think she will ever do that. I would truly be shocked and it’s unfortunate that every time she has a milestone birthday, the thing that comes up always is, 'Well, the Queen's 90 now. Is she just going to retire and give the crown to Charles?' No, she’s not going to do that."
While Queen Elizabeth might not be willing to hand over the crown while she's still alive, it will happening eventually and that will bring a lot of changes.
