CLEVELAND — EDITOR'S NOTE: The video in the player above is from a previous 'Health Yeah! With Monica Robins' podcast episode.
In this episode of Health Yeah! With Monica Robins, an Israeli virologist discusses how her country handled the pandemic and what the world could learn from that country's response.
This interview was conducted on March 23, 2021. Dr. Dana Wolf is Director of the Clinical Virology Unit at Hadassah University Medical Center in Israel. She’s also done research on giving the vaccine to pregnant women and discusses her findings.
Israel managed to get nearly 70 percent of its citizens vaccinated, and case numbers have remained low there.
Dr. Wolf explains to Robins how they managed to do accomplish that so quickly, and how transparency with the public and media was critical during the pandemic. She also explains the impact a unified message from the government had on the country's COVID-19 outcome.
