WILLOWICK, Ohio — The earthquake was confirmed by the USGS as a magnitude 1.7 and happened to the northwest of Willowick at a depth of just under 4 miles.
Earthquakes of this size are not usually felt by residents.
Tuesday's quake around 12:25 p.m. is the second to be recorded in the area in the past week. A magnitude 2.6 earthquake occurred near Eastlake on December 7th.
No damage or injuries have been reported.
