CLEVELAND — A senior at St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland is using his talents as a filmmaker to focus on environmental awareness.
Nathan Kuczmarski has made a short-form documentary called "Dream of Clean Water" and is a finalist for the "Fan Favorite Award" in the C-SPAN Student Cam 2022 documentary film contest.
"Dream of Clean Water" focuses on pollution in the Cuyahoga River, the passage of the 1972 Clean Water Act, and the political battles that have ensued in the 50 years since it was enacted.
You can help Nathan win this year's Fan Favorite Award. From now through Sunday, March 13, you can vote once per day (based on your IP address). The documentary that receives the most votes by midnight PST (3 a.m. EST) on Sunday, March 13, will receive an additional cash prize of $500 and will be recognized as the 2022 "Fan Favorite."
