Girls in STEM: Home and Garden show hosts model homes made by local students

These aren't your average Popsicle stick designs

All year long, WKYC will be spotlighting Girls in STEM, an initiative that inspires girls to embrace science, technology, engineering and math.

This week the Home and Garden Show is taking place the I-X Center and one of the things you can see there, are some model home projects. The projects are created by high school students.

The models on display were completed by the top 10 winners from the student model home design contest.

These aren't your average Popsicle stick designs either, these involve architecture, engineering, math, all the STEM subjects.

A team from Westlake High School took top honors but all these kids are winners.
