Animals, just like kids, can get bored. So 5th graders from the National Inventors Hall of Fame Middle School designed some new toys for Akron Zoo's animals to play with.
The kids were at the zoo on Wednesday to watch the animals interact with their new toys. This was a STEM project for students, centering on science and engineering.
And the toys aren't just for fun. They help the animals learn, sharpen their hunting skills, and keep them active.
