GREEN, Ohio -- A 71-year-old man from Green died Thursday when the 2004 Corvette he was driving collided with a tractor trailer that was trying to turn into a Sheetz gas station.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 7:30 a.m. on East Turkeyfoot Lake Road. The Corvette also struck a 2016 Honda Civic.
The Corvette’s driver was taken to Akron City Hospital where he later died. His name has not yet been released.
Nobody else was hurt.
East Turkeyfoot Lake Road was closed for approximately three hours after the accident.
Authorities say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
