CARROLL COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — Three people have died following a Monday afternoon crash in Carroll County.
The New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says it was around 4:13 p.m. when a 2011 Ford F650 traveled left of center and struck a 2015 Honda Odyssey on state Route 542 in Monroe Township.
Authorities say both vehicles continued off the roadway and into the ditch.
Three people in the Honda died as a result of the crash. The Highway Patrol has identified the victims as follows:
- 60-year-old Randy L. Simmons of East Liverpool (driver)
- 18-year-old Tina Shelter of Hammondsville
- 16-year-old Kenneth Shelter of Hammondsville
The driver of the Ford has been identified as a 55-year-old man of Diana, West Virginia. While authorities said the crash left two others hurt, they did not elaborate or provide any additional details regarding those injuries.
The Dellroy Fire Department, Regional EMS, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Caroll County EMA, Ohio Department of Transportation, Rocky’s Towing and Rosenberry Towing assisted on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
