Traffic flowing again after I-271 North and South were closed due to fallen power cable near Cedar / Brainard roads

The Tuesday morning commute came with snow and rain throughout Northeast Ohio.

We had a big traffic alert early Tuesday morning as the Ohio Department of Transportation said all lanes of I-271 North and South were closed due to a fallen power cable near Cedar and Brainard roads.

A short time later, 3News' Danielle Wiggins reported that traffic was flowing through the area once again.

The early morning closure, which also included the I-271 express lanes, happened as snow and rain moved through Northeast Ohio.

ODOT tweeted the following picture to show that nine crews were out working on the roadways as of 5 a.m. with snow and icy conditions being reported.
