WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — A roughly five-mile stretch of Interstate 90 east in Lake County has reopened following a crash in Willoughby Monday afternoon.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the crash occurred near Riverside Drive by the Chagrin River. Cameras at the scene showed vehicles at a standstill, but did not show the extent of the wreck itself. It is unknown if anyone was hurt.
All eastbound lanes were shut down from State Route 91 in Willoughby Hills to Kirtland Road near Lakeland Community College. Traffic was also backed up all the way to the I-271 interchange, affecting drivers on both highways.
Traffic was moving freely again by 6:30 p.m., roughly two hours after the incident.
