INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Heads up!
Starting next week, travelers in Northeast Ohio on Interstate 77 may be impacted as the I-77 resurfacing project between Rockside Road and East Schaaf Road begins.
Ohio Department of Transportation officials estimate that the project will be completed by August, but all work is weather dependent.
Below is a list from the Ohio Department of Transportation on the areas that will be impacted during the resurfacing project:
- The entrance ramps from Rockside Rd. to I-77 northbound will be closed overnight Monday, May 22 through Wednesday, May 24, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for resurfacing.
- Detour will be posted.
- The exit ramp from I-77 south to Rockside Rd. will be closed overnight on Thursday, May 25, Tuesday, May 30, and Wednesday, May 31, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for resurfacing.
- Detour will be posted.
- The ramps from I-480 east and west to Rockside Rd. will be closed overnight on Thursday, May 25, Tuesday, May 30, and Wednesday, May 31, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for resurfacing.
- Detour will be posted.
- I-77 between Rockside Rd. and E. Schaaf Rd. will have various off-peak lane closures and ramp closures beginning on Tuesday, May 23, through August for resurfacing.
