CLEVELAND — Heads up! Drivers who use the Memphis Road Bridge in Cleveland will need to find a detour because it has been closed due to structural concerns.
The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works closed the bridge Monday afternoon “due to the threat of safety to the traveling public” following a bridge inspection where “it was determined that a structural deficiency exists that will significantly affect the strength of the structure.”
The full closure of the bridge will remain in effect until further notice.
Here are the suggested detour options…
WESTBOUND TRAFFIC
Tiedeman Road > Brookpark Road > West 130th Street > Bellaire Road
EASTBOUND TRAFFIC
Bellaire Road > West 130th Street > Brookpark Road > Tiedeman Road
“The status of the detour will be updated when more information becomes available,” county spokesperson Mary Louise Madigan tells 3News. “We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation with this critical infrastructure project.”
