PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio — There was a traffic alert for drivers who take I-76 West in Portage County on Friday morning.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, Interstate 76 westbound at state Route 14 was closed due to a crash.
As of 12:02 p.m.., the road status was changed from closed to restricted.
ODOT estimates traffic delays at 2:28 p.m. to be around 16 minutes for drivers on I-76 West.
ODOT's traffic map showed traffic that stretched for several miles with delays of up to 40 minutes on Friday morning.
According to the Ravenna Ohio State Highway Patrol, a commercial vehicle fire caused the road to close. No one was injured in the accident.
