UPDATE | RTA train service restored on Red Line, Waterfront Line after power outage

RTA used buses to replace trains during the outage.

CLEVELAND — The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority had to replace a portion of its Red Line and Waterfront Line Rapid rail service with buses due to a power outage at one of its substations on Tuesday. 

Just after 6:00 p.m., RTA reported that service had been restored. 

The Red Line between Tower City and West Blvd. was affected. 

The Waterfront Line was also affected, but has service has also been restored.
