CLEVELAND — Interstate 71 south was completely closed beyond the Berea Freeway for multiple hours due to a crash that occurred Wednesday night.
Officials have not yet released details regarding what happened, but Ohio Department of Transportation Cameras showed multiple vehicles (including a semi-truck) halted on the snowy I-71 ramp. The wreck occurred at the interchange with I-480 and state Route 237, approaching Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
Per ODOT, all southbound lanes were shut down between West 154th Street and Snow Road, a distance of roughly three miles. Traffic began moving on the ramp again after midnight Thursday.
It is unknown at this time if anyone was injured in the crash.
