Traffic is back moving on I-271 north following a crash that closed a portion of the highway for several hours on Friday.
Police in Oakwood confirmed earlier this evening that I-271 northbound between State Route 8 and Broadway Avenue was closed following a motorcycle crash just north of the Alexander Road bridge.
Exact details on the crash are not known at this time, although a medical helicopter had to be called to the area. Remaining traffic was backed up for at least five miles with a delay of well over an hour and a half. Cars were also at a standstill on Broadway, with drivers unable to use the on ramp.
