CLEVELAND — Frontier Airlines celebrated the opening of its new crew base at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The crew base is expected to employ more than 400 flight attendants, pilots and maintenance professionals within its first year. Additionally, the new base is expected to generate nearly $80 million annually in local wages.

- Bonnie Teeuwen, Chief Operating Officer, City of Cleveland
“Today’s event brings the start of a new and more vibrant chapter for the City of Cleveland and Frontier Airlines,” said Francis. “We look forward to continuing to build on this partnership and deliver greater benefits to the millions of Northeast Ohio residents and visitors who look to CLE to meet their air travel needs. We are grateful for Frontier's increasing commitment to our region.”

Recently, Frontier announced the addition of 10 new routes from Cleveland. By summer, Frontier will serve a total of 30 destinations from Cleveland Hopkins.
