United Airlines expanding service from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to Florida

United is bringing back daily nonstop service from Cleveland to Tampa and expanding the number of daily flights to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, and Orlando.

CLEVELAND — Get ready, snowbirds! United Airlines is making it easy to travel from Northeast Ohio to Florida to beat the upcoming winter weather.

On Wednesday, United announced the expansion of its daily service to several destinations in Florida from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

First, the airline is reintroducing daily nonstop service from CLE to Tampa. Also, United is increasing its frequency of flights from Hopkins Airport to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, and Orlando to two daily, nonstop flights.

"We know that November is when most people start their winter travel planning so we're adding these flights to give customers more options than ever," said Mark Weithofer, United's Managing Director of Domestic Network Planning. "We've already begun to see record breaking demand for winter travel and whether customers are looking to unwind on the beach or hit the slopes, United is the clear choice for those planning their getaways."

The expansion of its service from Hopkins Airport to Florida is part of United's plan to offer more flights to Florida this winter than it has at any other time in its history. United has grown its schedule by nearly 20% compared to last winter.

Tickets are now available for purchase on the United app or on United.com.
