CLEVELAND — Heads up!

An Air Quality Advisory has been issued for multiple counties in Northeast Ohio through Friday, Aug. 4, as officials say levels “may be unhealthy for sensitive groups” during this period.

Here’s the list of counties included in the Air Quality Advisory:

  • Ashtabula
  • Cuyahoga
  • Geauga
  • Lake
  • Lorain
  • Medina
  • Portage
  • Summit

You can check the current air quality near you by checking the levels at AirNow.Gov.

Sensitive groups are listed as children, the elderly and those with breathing.

The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) offers the following tips for those in a county that's under the Air Quality Alert:

  • Drive less: Bike, walk, use transit, work from home, combine trips
  • Don’t idle: Turn off your engine
  • Refill your tank after sunset
  • Delay mowing until the alert is over

Today's weather forecast brings more sunshine with temperatures in the low 80s with humidity building into the weekend.
